Energenics, LLC Co-generation Power Plant at Montclair State University | Little Falls, NJ Engineers

Energenics, LLC of Mays Landing, New Jersey hired E2PM to perform environmental due diligence and site investigations to evaluate the potential of site contamination for the proposed Co-generation Power Plant Project. The planned development is a co-generation plant building and associated equipment with piping and utility corridors that will serve facilities across the Montclair State University campus. The approximate 2-acre site occupies the southernmost portion of Block 250, Lot 1 in the Township of Little Falls, Passaic County, New Jersey. The project also consisted of evaluating the proposed alignment and distribution of the steam and condensate lines that would traverse the entire campus.

E2PM’s initial task was to complete a Preliminary Assessment / Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (PA/ESA) for a parcel of land located on Yogi Berra Boulevard (aka Quarry Road) in the central portion of the Montclair State University campus. E2PM also performed Phase II soil sampling at the proposed power plant site and also along the proposed alignment of the steam line campus wide distribution. E2PM also evaluated the existing Power Plant slated for demolition. E2PM’s services included a Preliminary Assessment, Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, and Phase II soil and groundwater evalution.
